All about teenSMART
teenSMART® is a computer-based program that includes video learning segments, realistic driving simulations and parent-teen in-car driving activities. After completing this self-paced, four-hour training, your teen will learn to anticipate dangerous situations and increase awareness of the unexpected and may be eligible for up to a 20% discount on auto insurance.1

Safe Driving Performance
ADEPT Driver® focuses on improving driver behavior and reducing the risk of collision using advanced behavioral science, research and proven testing. According to ADEPT,2 teens that complete teenSMART:
- lower their chance of a collision by an average of 28%,
- have 51% fewer bodily injury claims than teens who don’t complete the program,
- reduce their chances of receiving a traffic citation by up to 67% one year after training.
Here are some things you need to get started:
- A driver's license or permit3 for the teen driver
- A parent or licensed driver 25 or older to help complete the parent–teen and in–car exercises
- A PC, Mac, Chromebook or iPad that meets the minimum specifications
- Internet connection
- Approximately four hours of computer time, plus time for parent-teen and in–car exercises. Online training is offered in 20–minute modules
