I've been thinking about switching insurance companies. How can I get a quote?

Can I make changes to my policy online?

Not at this time. Because making a change to your policy may raise other issues, and require additional changes, you should contact your Erie Insurance Agent. As experienced insurance professionals, your Agent or agency representative can help you make important decisions about your insurance. He or she can also advise you about how the changes you are making may affect your premium.

Bill Payment

Besides mailing my payment, how can I pay my insurance bill?

For your convenience, we offer many options for paying your premium. You can pay online, by phone, through direct debit from your checking account, or in person at your Agent’s office or the Erie Insurance office near you.

To pay by debit cards, credit card or electronic check, select our automated phone payment option.

  • Automated phone payment*: Call (800) 387-1492 to make payments using Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. (Regulations in Maryland, North Carolina and New York, however, prevent us from offering this option at this time.)
  • Online**: Use our One-Time Payment Service to make your payment free of charge from your checking or savings account.
  • Direct Debit: Sign up with your Erie Insurance Agent for ERIExpressPay or Chek-Matic — our recurring monthly direct debit programs for property/casualty or life insurance payments, respectively. Payment drawn automatically from your checking account makes paying your insurance effortless. To find your Agent’s contact information, use our Agent Locator.

What payment plans are available? How can I change my current plan?

ERIE offers a variety of payment plan options to fit your individual needs and preferences. Your Agent can assist you with payment plan changes and inquiries (or you may indicate the change on the front of your policy invoice).
